Bismillahi Rahmaani Raheem
In the translation of the meaning of the ayah in Surah Al-Imran verse 190, Allah subhaana wa ta’ala says,
“Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alteration of night and day,There are indeed signs for men of understanding. “
How often do we ponder over the signs of Allah on the earth and in ourselves? Look around you , His signs are everywhere subhaanahu!
Where do I start from ? Is it the stages of pregnancy to child birth or the wonders of breastfeeding? Just ponder over how the new born finds the location of it’s food and then know what to do with it!
Our body itself is a miracle. So many documentaries today, especially on alternative medicine attest to the fact that the body is self healing if provide with the right nutrients.
Every time I went to Lagos Island in the BRT bus, I would look out the window at the mighty ships sitting or should I say floating upon the sea like a leaf. knowing that if I were to drop a pebble into a cup of water it would sink. Then what about these tonnes of metal which Allah has granted safety to sail.
Though science has an explanation for this phenomenon but as Muslims, it’s a means to reflect, for it is one of the ways by which a slave recognises his Lord. Pondering over the signs of Allah, helps the a person worship Allah better with Ikhlas and Ihsan bi idnillah.
“He has made the ship to be of service to you , that they may sail through the sea by His Command…” Q14 vs 32
How Mighty is the Lord of the seas, Lord of everything subhaanahu wa ta’ala!
