A programme centred on African perspectives

Africa No Filter’s Voices for Climate Justice initiative, delivered with Comic Relief, sets out a twelve-month programme for 15–20 storytellers. Its brief includes mentoring, training, amplification and grants of up to US$4,000.

Nigeria is among the eligible countries. The programme welcomes formats including podcasts, video, articles and visual storytelling, connecting climate justice with gender, debt and fossil fuels through research and lived experience.

Applications closed on 25 September 2026. This is a programme overview, not an open call or an announcement of selected participants.

The Enarrate perspective

Complex public issues become more understandable when stories connect them to people’s experiences. That requires both accuracy and agency: communities should appear as participants in their futures, with knowledge and choices of their own.

The initiative offers one example of support for that approach across creative formats. Consult Africa No Filter’s official page for its objectives and subsequent updates.
